       I’m often asked why kindergartens should hold such a grand graduation ceremony for their graduating children, after all….they are only kids!


       But lets take a closer look at that picture. In the first six years, our children learn to talk (many of them more than one language), learn to walk, run, play. They learn the basics of independence that lays the foundations for the rest of their lives. They learn how to make friends, solve problems and how to behave in social settings. They learn how to understand and communicate the complex network of human emotions. They learn the foundations of math and the written word, the fascinating beginnings of science, geography and history.  


       我常常被问到，为什么幼儿园要举行这么重大的毕业典礼，毕竟他们只是孩子而已。

       但现在我们一起来认真的看看。在6岁前，我们的孩子在学习讲话（很多孩子不止会讲一门语言）学习走，跑，玩耍。他们学习在将来生活中最重要的基础，独立。他们学习交朋友，解决问题以及在社交中的表现。他们学习怎么理解和表达复杂的个人情感。他们学习基础的数学和书写，接触令人着迷的科学，地理和历史。

      Some of our children have only been in Sky Avenue’s English immersion environment for one year or less. But last Saturday, they stood on stage in front of their audience to give a speech in this ‘foreign’ language. How many of us adults would dare to do such a thing in languages that we have possibly been learning for 10 or more years?

       有些孩子刚刚来到爱幼思浸入式英文环境只有一年或更短时间。但上周六，他们站在台上面对台下的观众做了他们外语的演讲。有多少成年人已经学习了10年的语言敢于做这样的演讲呢？

　　Our children chose what they would like to share and, with the help of their class teachers wrote their thoughts down. Listening to them talk about what they loved most about their time in Sky Avenues, how they would miss their friends, teachers, activities, and - to our Chef Peter’s delight - the food was both delightful and an incredibly proud moment for us all!

　　My hope for our children is that they leave us this summer as independent, self-confident, disciplined, respectful young learners who will continue on their life-long learning path with a passion and hunger that never dies!

　　我们的孩子选择了他们想要分享的，班级老师帮助他们写下了孩子的想法。倾听他们说出在爱幼思他们最喜欢的一切，他们今后对朋友，老师，有趣的活动和我们的厨师长Peter精心准备的可口的食物和所有的一切令人骄傲回味瞬间的思念。

　　我希望我们的孩子在离开爱幼思幼儿园后能够成为一名独立，自信，有纪律，和懂得尊重的小求学者，在他们的一生中都能一直保持学习的激情和渴望。
